This month we had made the decision to work on the Suits 2 trading cards and points shop items. This took a little longer than expected and has impacted the development of Gamma 19, but that doesn't mean that we haven't made some progress.

Here I was experimenting with the lighting of the first area of Chapter 1. We wanted to create a creepy atmosphere for this part so getting the lighting right was very important. This is the color that we are going to go with, but nothing is final.

We really liked the lighting in this scene, however this chapter takes place at night and would clash with the rest of the lighting.

The green lighting does a good job in creating a creepy atmosphere, but it feels more alien than earthly. This might be used in another chapter.

While experimenting with the lighting I had this idea to create a shader that allows sprites to react to UV light. The Godot engine allows you to pass lighting data into a shader which helps me achieve this effect.

In this chapter Andrei gets a new arm. It's big and heavy, and packs a mean punch.

Here are some new animations for the Elite robot.

Will (Urban) is working on fully animating the arm loss scene as part of a class project. He has put a lot of work into making it look good and in my totally unbiased opinion, Will is the best animator in his class.

Will has also finished all of the assets for the Steam trading cards and point shop items. Here are all of the full size images of the trading card art. These go hard, feel free to screenshot.

These are the emotes that will be available to get from crafting badges and from the points shop. These have been added to the Discord as well.

These are all of the non-animated backgrounds for Steam. We have some animated ones, but you will see those soon.

There has been an influx of fan art on the Discord and it made me want to make this section to showcase them. Next post will showcase some non-suits art since most of the art posts there aren't related to Suits. Stay tuned.

This has been the longest blog post so far. We should be getting back on track to completing Chapter 1 of Gamma 19 and hopefully have more to show soon. All of the Suits 2 trading cards and points shop items are still being reviewed, but we'll make sure to make an announcement when it is done.
